Account Manager - Chicago, IL

Summary: The Account Manager is responsible for a high level of support for clients, including primary contact for implementation, on-going support and developing relationships, ensuring an exceptional customer experience for new and existing clients. Focuses on growing and developing existing clients in addition to serving as knowledgeable support for all Flex products including FSAs, HRAs, HSAs, and COBRA.
 
Key responsibilities include:
 
  • Relationships – Builds and maintains strong, long-lasting relationships with clients and their
    producers. Assists with providing product offerings to expand and enhance client benefits. Guides clients through benefit strategies and plan changes, including regulatory requirements.
  • New Business Implementation - Manages the initial introduction to Flex for new clients and sets the expectations for a successful implementation. Develops materials, including guides, presentations, and forms, to maximize the onboarding experience. Monitors the new business implementation and renewal process and assists if necessary to provide a successful client experience.
  • Service – Manages day-to-day service activities of assigned new and existing clients.
  • Assessment – Utilizes client suggestions, product requests and analyzes trends to identify and
    recommend procedural and product enhancements. Tracks customer feedback and reports on
    customer satisfaction.
  •  Education – Develops a working aptitude of Flex’s products and services and provides clients with knowledgeable support. Coordinates presentations and webinars with Flex’s Marketing team for FSA, HRA, HSA enrollment, including education meetings for assigned clients. Assists by conducting enrollment meetings when needed.
  • Support – Stays abreast of all department processes, especially new business implementation and renewal procedure, and provides back-up support when needed.

 

 
Requirements include:
 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Business or related field
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in an account management role, preferably with 2 to 3 years in the health insurance industry
  • Knowledge of the group health marketplace and consumer-driven programs, including FSAs, HRAs & HSAs
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment while remaining professional, courteous and helpful
  • Agreeable to some local travel (10% to 20%) to conduct key account and enrollment meetings
  • Bilingual English and Spanish a plus
