Flex Exclusive Presenter on Insurance Exchanges at SHRM Annual Conference
ROSEMONT, Ill. – June 10, 2014 – For the second consecutive year, Flexible Benefit Service Corporation (Flex) will be educating human resource and business professionals at the SHRM® Annual Conference & Exposition in Orlando, Florida later this month. Flex Compliance Officer, David Lindgren, will be exclusively speaking at the conference of more than 14,000 attendees on the benefits and pitfalls of insurance exchanges for employers and employees. He will also explain how employers should adapt to the newly required healthcare reforms in 2015 and beyond.
An appealing option within the health insurance delivery system, insurance exchanges are creating a lot of buzz in the industry. Lindgren, who was the exclusive presenter on insurance exchanges at last year’s SHRM Annual Conference in Chicago, will again deliver insight on the emerging exchange marketplace.
“The health care environment continues to change and insurance exchanges are becoming a primary fueling mechanism,” says Lindgren. “As organizations continue to struggle with high costs and changing business requirements, exchanges may be a viable solution for employers and their employees. We will take a look at the latest market trends and best practices in the session, “Exchanging Your Employee Benefits Program.”
Additionally, Lindgren will be presenting the session, “Healthcare Reform: Where are we now?.” A significant portion of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) was scheduled to be fully implemented in 2014, but provisions of the new health law have changed, been delayed or completely eliminated.”
“We have been working with benefits professionals and employers to clear up the confusion surrounding the ACA and help them understand what is now required of them,” says Lindgren. “Key statistics, trends and additional information will be discussed so attendees understand their new obligations in the delivery of health care to employees.”
